National Constitution Center

The Journal of Constitutional Law (JCL) is excited to partner with the leading institution devoted to the study and discussion of the United States Constitution, the National Constitution Center ("NCC"). During the 2014-2015 academic year, JCL and the NCC launched two new initiatives. The first initiative is the publication in the Journal of transcripts from the NCC's podcast "We the People." The second initiative involved offering JCL editors the opportunity to intern at the NCC in order to further develop their legal research and writing skills. JCL is looking forward to expanding the scope of this partnership in the 2015-2016 academic year and beyond.

JCL/NCC Volume 17, Issue 6

In Volume 17, the Journal  will be publishing transcripts of some of the most popular episodes from the NCC's podcast "We The People." In these podcasts, Jeffrey Rosen, CEO of the NCC, discusses timely topics with leading scholars in the field of constitutional study. JCL is proud to be publishing these important conversations and to have a role in memorializing them for the public.

  • Richard Epstein and Geoffrey Stone - Is the Free Press Better Off 50 Years After the Sullivan Decision?
  • Jonathan Hafetz and John Yoo - Due Process, Lethal Drones, and American Citizens

JCL Internship at the NCC

During the 2014-2015 academic year, there were three JCL members who interned at the NCC. Interns at the NCC helped with various research and writing projects. Tasks included writing several posts on current or interesting Supreme Court cases for the NCC's blog, and drafting briefs on pending cases/issues to aid in podcast taping. The interns also helped to prep NCC executives on guest speakers and created questions to facilitate conversation at those events. Recently, our interns have been researching and summarizing seminal Supreme Court cases for each of the Amendments in the Bill of Rights, which will then be included in the NCC's new interactive Constitution exhibit.

If you are a current JCL member and are interested in being an intern during the 2015-2016 academic year, please reach out to the Editor-in-Chief at .
